BREN REDDEN R.I.P.

By Wilf Dooley

Well it's been a tough week for the Old Boys of Trafford MV as we announce our second passing away

I received the following message from Ged Hunter on Tuesday evening.....

Hi Wilf
I’ve had Bren Redden’s daughter message me today Brendan died this afternoon following complications with his kidneys.

He played in the colts back in the late seventies and for other club sides in the early eighties.

He was another of the Ambrose clan that didn’t end up at Altrincham Kersal. Usually playing stand off or centre he was a a bit of a terrier and always ended up in a rumble with the biggest guys on opposite side.

A reputable singer and a Irish dancer that would give Micheal Flatley a run for his money.

He also brought a few players down to MV including the infamous Treadgold brothers.

He lived the mainstay of his life in the North east and was a proficient golfer and captain of the the local club. Details of the funeral will follow.

Cheers
